With an education in social sciences and an extensive background in entrepreneurship, economic development, manufacturing and exporting, Rheal has been at the helm of BBI Group since its inception in 1995.
While serving as a business mentor and coach during the early part of his career, his passion to develop and build a business of his own was ignited, leading to the launch and sale of a successful lumber exporting company and the subsequent purchase of Bouctouche Bay Industries over 21 years ago.
Today, after decades of growth across 4 divisions, he now prides himself on the capabilities and accomplishments of the 27-member BBI team and its ability to consistently surpass client expectations.
Hailing from the UK, Steen is an expert in both polymer engineering and product design with a wealth of experience operating in the plastics manufacturing sector worldwide.
Throughout his 28 year career, he’s applied his expertise in many sectors (including aerospace, medical and automotive) and served as an active member of the China/Britain Business Council during his time in Asia.
On the entrepreneurial front, he’s also co-founded a mechanical engineering design service, an injection moulding manufacturing company and an outdoor products business that he successfully pitched on CBC’s Dragons Den.
Steen is passionate about all things business and has a simple philosophy which is: If you understand & focus on your objective and create an environment for your team to excel, nothing is impossible.
